jammies
New Years Eve must be my least favorite holiday. When everyone else in the world is whopping it up- all I want to do is sit in a quiet corner and contemplate the last year. Right now I'm all dolled up to go to a wedding -but all I want is to curl up in my jammies and have a good think.
instead I must go forth and endure the social whirl. A New Years Eve party / wedding! High stress for someone who feels social anxiety at both events.
You know the old song by the incomparable Robbie Burns- "should Auld acquaintance be forgot- and never brought to mind" Well... New Years brings "Auld" memories for me and some of those memories make me sad.
but alas alack! I must put more crap in my hair so I will present a glossy facade to the other wedding guests.
